The Oak Room
Since 1907, our guests
have been seduced by the
charming mystique of the Oak
Room. Reminiscent of an
exclusive men's club, the Oak
Room's 24-ft ceilings dominate
the room; its sable oak walls
with fluted columns and
turn-of-the-century murals add
refinement and elegance. The
original mosaic floor has
currently been restored in
this magnificent Baroque room.
Strictly a male preserve until
1974, it was off limits to
women before 3:00 p.m.
Nowadays, The Oak Room
welcomes both men and women
for lunch, dinner and supper.
Chef Roberto Hasche will
dazzle you with his culinary
creations. When it comes to
dessert, we offer a tempting
selection of flavored crème
brulée and The Plaza's famous
cheesecake, so rich and creamy
you will want to return for
more!
