The Gramercy Park Hotel is where an eleven-year-old President to be John F. Kennedy lived with his parents, Rose and Joseph P. Kennedy. It is the Hotel where a 27 year old Humphrey Bogart married Helen Mencken on the Roof Garden, and where Babe Ruth was politely asked, on more than one occasion, to leave our famous bar.

The Gramercy Park Hotel has Meeting and Banquet Rooms that can accommodate groups ranging from as few as 20 people up to 250 people. The Hotel can also host wedding and engagement parties from as few as 50 people up to 250 people.

While you are with us, visit our bar on Gramercy Park to relax and unwind. You may want to drop in before dinner and the Broadway show you might want to attend while you are in town. Later you might stop by for a nightcap. For more than seventy years, visitors have thought of the Gramercy Park Hotel's cozy Lounge as their living room.

Why Famous? And famous our Bar really is, having been selected by actor/director Cameron Crowe as one of the most important film shooting locations for his Oscar winning film 'Almost Famous.' Also seen at our Bar in the past have been Sting, Matt Dillon, Deborah Harry, The Clash, Peter O'Toole, Ethan Hawke, and Uma Thurman.

Enjoy cocktails, accompanied by priceless breathtaking romantic skyline views of Manhattan, at the High Bar. All this while seated in our beautiful landscaped Penthouse Roof Garden which also overlooks magical Gramercy Park. This is the very same Penthouse Roof Garden where a 27-year-old Humphrey Bogart married Helen Mencken in 1926, the year our Hotel opened. Dine on an excellent Caesar salad, a lobster cocktail or a truly jumbo shrimp cocktail (just four, but like two quarter pounders), salmon tartar, New York's best char-grilled Niman Ranch baby back ribs, or a vegetarian's delight in an oversized char-grilled Portobello mushroom and goat cheese salad, followed by a classic root beer float.

• Take Newark International Airport Exit.
• You are on US-1 & 9
• Bare left on the Pulaski Skyway.
• The Skyway takes you directly into the Holland Tunnel.
• Take first right ramp and go west to the West Side Highway.
• Take West Side Highway North (right turn) to 23rd Street.
• Take 23rd Street East to Lexington Avenue.
• Turn right on to Lexington Avenue.
• The Hotel is on Lexington Avenue.

Direction from JFK International Airport

• Take Airport Exit to Van Wyck Expressway(I-678 N).
• Take Van Wyck Expressway to I-495 W exit
• Merge onto Long Island Expressway (L.I.E becomes I-495 W).
• L.I.E takes you to the Queens Midtown Tunnel.
• Go through the tunnel and follow the signs for downtown Manhattan.
• Take 2nd Avenue to 23 Street and Turn Right on to 23 Street.
• Turn left on to Lexington Avenue.
• The Hotel is on 21 Street and Lexington Avenue.

Directions From LaGuardia Airport

• Take Airport Exit to the Grand Central Parkway West.
• Take the Bklyn-Qns Expressway exit towards Verrazano Bridge (I-278) West.
• Take the I-495/L.I.E exit- towards Midtown Tunnel/Greenpoint Ave.
• Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp and MERGE onto the L.I.E (I-495) W.
• L.I.E takes you to the Queens Midtown Tunnel.
• Go through the tunnel and follow the signs for downtown Manhattan.
