Empire manner by Dorothy Draper
and updated by the formidable

Avenue, in a six-story building
commissioned by the

rooms and a reception foyer for
a total of 3,861 sq. ft. in
meeting space. The intimate
venues, designed by Mark
Hampton, are ideal settings for

entertaining. The more intimate
Versailles Suite captures the
radiant ambience of its
namesake, while the Triannon
Suite is a long-time favorite
for dinner and dancing.

Bemelmans
Bar This classic bar is a
favorite of neighborhood
denizens and guests. Decorated
with the whimsical murals of
author/artist Ludwig Bemelmans,
creator of precocious Madeline,
the venue features piano
entertainment Monday through
Saturday. Breakfast 7-11:00

Each of The Carlyle's 180
rooms and suites have been
individually decorated and
appointed with the finest
fabrics, rugs, antique boudoir
chairs, Frette linens, and
deluxe bathrobes. The walls are
adorned with original Audubon
prints, architectural renderings
by Piranesi, and English country
scenes by Kips. Some
accommodations feature private
terraces, grand pianos, and
spectacular views of the city's
skyline.
Suites
Suites offer separate sitting
rooms complete with powder rooms
and are priced according to
space, size and exposure. Some
suites offer fully equipped
kitchens, terraces, and grand
pianos.
Standard Suite : A
handsomely appointed one-bedroom
suite traditionally decorated
and available with either a
pantry or powder room. These
suites have a king-size bed and
a quiet courtside location and
some feature a kitchenette or
pantry area. Available on floors
3-12. Approx. 650 sq. ft.
Superior Suite: A
large entrance foyer leads into
a generously sized living room.
Area rugs, antique prints, and
traditional furnishings create a
residential atmosphere. The
suites have a king-size bed and
a quiet location. Some feature
kitchenettes or pantries and
very large closets. An
additional bedroom can be added
at an additional charge.
Available on floors 3-16.

Deluxe Suite : A
generous-sized one-bedroom suite
with an entrance foyer and ample
closet space. Each suite
features a pantry and most have
a powder room. Available on
floors 3-14. Approx. 850 sq. ft.
Carlyle Suite : These
exclusive one-bedroom corner
suites are luxuriously appointed
with elegant antiques and rich
fabrics. Each of the four
Carlyle Suites offers a Steinway
or Baldwin grand piano, a
spacious entrance foyer, and a
powder room. Approx. 1000 sq.
ft.
Tower Suite : The
Carlyle's most luxurious
accommodations, the Tower Suites
are individually unique. Two of
these offer Central Park views
through a picture window in the
living room, a full kitchen, a
piano, a bedroom with a
king-size bed, and a large foyer
with a powder room. These suites
can connect with an adjoining
room to make a two-bedroom
suite. The third Tower Suite
offers a large raised living
room with high ceilings and a
grand piano. This is a
two-bedroom suite with a
king-size bedroom and an
additional guestroom with two
twin beds. Located on the 22nd
floor, the suite also includes a
full kitchen and dining room.

Standard Room : These
king-size rooms are handsomely
appointed and comfortable,
offering an interior or Madison

Superior Room : These
rooms have the benefit of having

either two twin beds or one
king-size bed. Each has an
interior or Madison Avenue
location between floors 3-16.

Deluxe Room : These rooms
offer generous accommodation
with large entrance foyers,
spacious closets, and a
comfortable sitting area. The
bright rooms are available with
a king-size bed or two twin beds
